Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the operator of Spore Runner (“we”, “us”, or
“our”) handles information when you use the App, including the Android application (package
name com.ghostjump.spore) and any web version of the game we make available.
By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Summary
- We do not require an account, and we do not operate a login system.
- We do not knowingly collect your name, email, or postal address through the game itself.
- Some game settings and scores are stored only on your device.
- The Android App may show ads through Google AdMob. Because the App is for a mixed audience (children through adults), ads follow Google Play Families rules for younger users (see Sections 3 and 7).
- If you play a hosted web version, we may use privacy-oriented analytics to understand aggregate usage.

2. Information stored on your device
The App uses your device’s local storage (for example, browser localStorage on
web, or equivalent storage in the mobile app) to remember:
- High scores (separate records for each flight mode)
- Your selected flight mode (Side Scroll or Climb Mode)
- Whether sound is muted
This information stays on your device unless you clear app data, uninstall the App, or clear your browser storage. We do not receive this data on our own servers.
3. Advertising (Android App)
The Android version of Spore Runner displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC), including banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads (for example, after a game ends).
On Google Play, Spore Runner is listed for a mixed audience with these target age groups: 5 and under, 6–8, 9–12, 13–15, 16–17, and 18 and over. We configure AdMob as a mixed-audience app in line with Google Play’s Families policy and child-privacy laws (such as COPPA in the United States). Users identified as children receive child-appropriate, non-personalized ads. Where allowed for adults, Google’s consent tools (UMP) may offer choices about personalized advertising.
AdMob and its partners may still collect or receive limited technical information needed to show and measure ads, such as:
- Device type, operating system version, and language
- IP address and general location (country/region level)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
- Advertising ID (AAID on Android), subject to Google’s policies for child-directed apps
Where required by law, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent and privacy choices. Parents or guardians can also manage ad settings on the device: Settings → Google → Ads (wording may vary).

4. Analytics (web version)
If you access Spore Runner through a website we host in production, we may use Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc.) to collect aggregated, non-identifying usage information (such as page views and performance metrics). This helps us understand how the game is used and improve stability.

The standalone Android App is not designed to require a separate analytics account from us; however, third-party ad SDKs (see Section 3) may still collect data as described above.
5. Fonts and other third-party services
The App may load fonts or other assets from third-party providers (for example, Google Fonts). Those providers may receive technical data such as your IP address when your device requests those resources.
6. What we do not collect
Through the game itself, we do not intentionally collect:
- Real name, email address, or phone number
- Precise GPS location
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data
- Payment or financial information (the App is free to play; ads are served by Google)
7. Children, teens, and families
Who the App is for. Spore Runner is a casual game for players of many ages. In Google Play Console, our declared target age groups are:
- 5 and under
- 6–8
- 9–12
- 13–15
- 16–17
- 18 and over
Because the App is available to children as well as teens and adults, we treat it as a mixed-audience product and apply stronger privacy protections for younger users, especially children under 13.
Under 13 (COPPA). We comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws where they apply. We do not ask children under 13 to create an account or provide their name, email address, phone number, or precise location through the game. Game progress (such as high scores and sound settings) is stored on the device only and is not sent to our servers.
Teens (13–17) and adults (18+). The same on-device-only game data applies for all ages: we do not run a login system or collect contact details through gameplay. Older users may see different ad experiences than children, as determined by Google AdMob and applicable consent flows (see Section 3).
Third parties. When anyone uses the Android App, Google AdMob may process limited device and ad-related data as described in Section 3. For users treated as children under Google’s policies, ads are non-personalized and child-appropriate. We do not knowingly allow third parties to collect personal information from children under 13 for their own marketing purposes through the App.
Parental rights. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child’s use of the App or to request deletion of information we control. Because most data stays on the device, you can also remove it by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.

We encourage parents and guardians to supervise younger children’s use of the App and to review ad and privacy settings on the child’s device.
8. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on:
- Consent — where UMP or similar consent is shown, including for users who are not children or where parental consent applies
- Legitimate interests — for non-personalized ads, fraud prevention, and aggregated analytics
- Legal obligation — where we must comply with applicable law
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent (without affecting processing before withdrawal)
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Because most game data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it by clearing app storage or uninstalling the App. For requests related to data processed by Google or Vercel, you may also need to use their respective privacy tools. California residents: we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising except as may occur through third-party ad partners when you use the Android App and have not opted out.
10. Data retention
- On-device data — kept until you delete it or remove the App.
- Ad and analytics partners — retained according to their own policies and legal requirements.
11. International transfers
Third-party providers (such as Google and Vercel) may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. They may use standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms where required.
12. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect any information we control. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
